The money that Braxton receives from the purchase of his Personal Charcoal Pet Portraits goes toward taking care of his service dog, Soozzie Q. The rest of his art that is for sale helps replenish his art supplies, buying frames, shipping his art and putting some money into savings account for later use.
Here is what Soozzie can help me with: Assist in places of public accommodation (e.g. grocery stores, shopping malls, public transportation, and etc.). Provide a buffer or a shield for when he is in crowded areas by creating a physical boundary. Wake Braxton up to keep him from sleeping too much. Assist in coping with emotional overload by bringing me into the “here and now.” As well as relief from feelings of isolation, an increased sense of well-being, daily structure and motivation to exercise, an increased sense of security, an increased sense of self-efficiency, an increased sense of self-esteem, an increased sense of purpose, mood improvement, increased optimism, a secure and uncomplicated relationship, dependable and predictable love, affection and nonjudgmental companionship. Soozzie also helps sooth Braxton during a meltdown. When in the store Braxton is so busy with Soozzie that he doesn’t think about leaving the store like he use to when he was younger. Soozzie helps with socialization as well by getting people to interact with Braxton. As well as encouragement for social interactions, reduction in debilitating symptoms, greater access to the world, and around the clock support.
