When we first moved to Waupaca, I went to town to The Paint store to buy puffy paint for one of my pieces. While I was their I met Alice who owns The Paint Store with her husband, Ted. I had some money left over after I bought my puffy paint and I started looking around to see what else I could buy. When I found a small box of Charcoal for $0.99. After I got home, I went downstairs and I drew a self portrait of myself. When I showed mom and dad, they liked it. That is how I got involved with Charcoal and soft pastels. This is my first charcoal drawing. I told my mom that I was really happy when I drew this.
